Adagio

Dirk Bruinenberg, Richard Andersson, David Readman, Stephan Forte, and Franck Hermanny

Adagio is a progressive/neoclassical metal band founded by French guitarist Stephan Forte. Their outstanding debut album, Sanctus Ignis, was first released in France in March 2001, in Europe and Japan in May 2001, and the U.S. in June 2001. The Japanese and European/American versions include different bonus tracks, and the first 3,000 copies of the French album include a bonus CD. Their second album, Underworld, was released in 2003, and a live album, A Band in Upperworld, was released in Japan in June 2004 and will come out in Europe later this year.

Sadly, vocalist David Readman is no longer with the band. David's incredible talent will be greatly missed. I know I missed him a lot when the band played at Prog Power V.

For more information on David Readman's other band, see my Pink Cream 69 page.
