Ember was born on July 15, 1994. Sunshine and Velvet were planned additions to the family, but Ember just kind of came along! I had only planned to have two cats. Then one day I went to a cat show, and there was an adorable pet-quality Bombay kitten for sale. I commented on how cute she was and was asked "Would you like to hold her?" Well, we bonded, and I couldn't leave her there; she was such an irresistible, cuddly little lap cat! She had been given her name by her breeder's friend; when she stayed overnight at the friend's house, she ran under a burning wood stove, and the friend was afraid that she would turn into a little burnt ember!
Ember is a friendly, outgoing cat. She likes to be the center of attention!
Here is Ember with Velvet. They got along almost from the moment they met and were very close. They often snuggled together and groomed each other.
Ember thinks she rules the world!
